Jake and John start their Lands End to John O'Groats challenge!
Jake and John Emabark on their gruelling nine day challenge!
Jake and father John McGee, managing director of Resilient Power Solutions Ltd, have started their long awaited fundraising challenge, cycling 960 miles from Lands End to John O’Groats. All in the aid of charity! Jake the enthusiastic 12yr old set them the challenge of £20,000 for their 960 miles.
Reaching the starting point of the Lands End signpost this morning after a hearty breakfast, they departed at 10:00am for a long day of cycling and many more long days ahead of them. Although the winds were against them they were determined to make a good start! And with one final goodbye and the meeting point settled the guys set off!
Meanwhile the girls travel along at a leisurely pace in their home for the next nine days the McGee Mobile! The “MM” is their fully functioning home for the next nine days; the only job of the girls is to meet up with the guys at the designated time and place. Where the guys will take a quick shower before heading to the pub of choice for the night!
