RPS secure a six-figure business investment!

Resilient Power Solutions Ltd aim to break through and go beyond the million pound turnover mark after receiving a six-figure business investment.
Resilient Power Solutions (RPS) design, specify, install and commission critical power systems for sensitive sites such as data centres and Government buildings.
Founded in 2007 by electrician John McGee, the business currently employs 16 people and has quickly reached a turnover of around £900,000 a year.
Now, with the support of a £100,000 investment from regional fund management firm NEL Fund Managers via the Finance For Business North East Growth Fund, RPS is looking to increase turnover by at least 50% in the next year.
Run by John McGee and Installation and Service Director Andy Mullen, the firm already works with clients across the UK including the Metropolitan Police and The National Archives in London.
The investment will allow RPS to look into and possibly open a new mechanical engineering arm to the company. This would excellently complement our critical power competencies and maximise the benefits of cross-selling opportunities.
Two new jobs have already been created at RPS this year and we expect more to follow as a result of the NEL investment.
John McGee: “The critical power industry has taken a massive jump forwards over the last few years, and the experience of our team in this area has enabled us to quickly build up a strong presence in this market right across the UK.
“Our aim is to take the company’s turnover to at least £1.2m by this time next year by widening the range of critical power contracts for which we’re competing, and the addition of a new mechanical arm to the business will also help us reach and surpass this target.”
John added: “Our thanks go to Graham Cornforth of Haines Watts Corporate Finance, who worked alongside RPS during negotiations, advising us on the deal and helping us to secure the funding.”
